Welcome staff invite all visitors to make a donation towards the upkeep of the fabric of the building. Group leaders who have not booked tours are asked to make a donation on behalf of their whole group.

Guided tours of the cathedral can be organised for your group and can be tailormade. All groups visiting the Cathedral should book in advance. In some circumstances groups may be refused admission.
Unguided groups are asked to pay the same contribution as any other visitor (£3.50/£2.50).
Groups wishing to bring their own guide must seek permission first and will be charged the same rate as for a guided tour with a Cathedral guide.

Schools are welcome to come for anything from a short visit to a whole day including tour, activities and use of the Education Centre as a base and for lunch.

A range of amenities is available within the Cathedral precincts including:
Toilets are available in the Cathedral and at Beckets Restaurant, the Education Centre and the Business Café.
Picnics are allowed in the Cloister (accessible only through the Cathedral) and in the Cathedral grounds generally.
Wheelchairs - there is an access ramp at the West Door and level access via the South Transept Door. Once inside all areas are accessible to wheelchair users except the tower and upper levels tour. The Education Centre and Beckets Restaurant have level access and a wheelchair access toilet facility. A wheelchair lift gives access to the shop and to the Tourist Information Centre, which is also in the Precincts.
A touch/hearing centre and specially formatted written material are available for the blind and partially sighted and a sensory tour can be organised by prior arrangement.
There is limited parking available in the Precincts, but it may be possible to arrange a temporary parking permit for disabled badge holders via the Chapter Office.
In the City Centre. By road follow signs from the A1 or approach via A15, A47, or A605. By rail travel to Peterborough Station (London, Cambridge and Leicester 55 mins; York 1hr 15 mins.) and walk through the city centre (10 mins).
No parking in the Precincts, but plentiful parking nearby. Coach drop-off points close to the Cathedral. For details of arrangements for parking for the disabled, please see above.
