Ground Floor Guided tours are available daily throughout the year at no extra charge. Tour times vary according to seasonal factors. Please enquire for details. Guided tours for Groups are available on a pre-booked basis. Tours will not take place if a special service or event is taking place.
Leaflets are also available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.
Octagon Tower Numbers limited to 12 per group. Children must be aged 10 years or older. Tours cannot be taken up in wet weather. Available daily in Peak season (April to October) and at weekends November to March. Pre-booked tours of the Octagon for groups can also be arranged throughout the year.

Visitors will find a shop, refectory, brass rubbing centre and toilets within the Cathedral. An additional restaurant, The Almonry, is situated in the Cathedral grounds. To book The Almonry for a group, please contact using the details given below. The Cathedral Centre houses the Education Department and can also be hired for conferences etc. (For contact number see above under School Visits).

There is a drop-off point just past the Cathedral's main West Front entrance and car and coach parking is free in the nearby Barton Road public car park.
The ground floor of the Cathedral is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are also available free of charge on request. The main West Door can be opened for easier access. There is a pre-visit pack for the visually impaired and the Pitkin Guide is available on tape. The interior map of the Cathedral is available in large print.
Ely Cathedral dominates the fenland landscape to the north east of Cambridge. Access by road from A10 or A142. Good national rail and local bus links. Ely is only just over an hour by train from London King's Cross; Ely is just under 20 miles from Cambridge.
